Mayor Brian Hodson Biography
Mayor Brian Hodson has always had a heart for service. He has been involved in a number of community
organizations over the years from Salem to Portland and now here in Canby. Brian began his civic involvement by being on
the Chamber of Commerce Board and eventually serving as Vice President and two
years as its President. He was appointed
to an open City Council position in 2009.
He has been involved in countless volunteer efforts and charitable
events, including Operation Snuggle, the Trost School Clean-Up, the Metro Toy
Drive, and the S.M.A.R.T reading program, to name only a few.
He and his family moved to Canby in 2004 when his eldest
daughter was six months old. Now, Mayor
Hodson and his wife Meg have three children – Emma, Dylan, and Owen, as well as
a home based business. They love the
community, the friends they have made, and the new ones they have yet to
meet. Brian is growing in his
faith. He loves time with his family,
football on the weekends, drumming, Italian food, and spirited conversations
with old and new friends.
You say a lot but you don’t say much. I am a new resident, going on 3 years. Who are you? What is your vision for Canby? You have a home business, what’s your background? Is there somewhere I can find this information? Thank you for your service to the community.
